Lumax Auto Q1 FY26 Profit Rises 30% to ₹54 Crore; Revenue Up 36%

Lumax Auto Technologies Ltd. reported a 30% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at ₹54 crore for the first quarter of FY26, up from ₹42 crore in Q1 FY25. Consolidated revenue rose 36% year-on-year to ₹1,026 crore, compared to ₹756 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) stood at ₹136 crore, reflecting a 29% growth. The EBITDA margin was 13.2%, slightly lower than 14.0% in Q1 FY25. Profit before tax (PBT) rose 31% to ₹74 crore. On a sequential basis, revenue dipped 9% and PAT declined 32%, attributed to delayed realisation of customer price corrections, which were recovered in the current quarter.

Subsidiaries excluding the newly acquired Greenfuel posted 36% growth, while total subsidiary growth, including Greenfuel, was 59% year-on-year in Q1 FY26. IAC India and mechatronics entities led the performance.
During the quarter, Lumax Auto completed the acquisition of the remaining 25% stake in IAC India, strengthening its position in EV interior solutions. The company also incorporated two new wholly owned subsidiaries: Lumax Autocomp and Lumax Auto Solutions to tap into emerging opportunities in the auto sector. The board approved the opening of a branch office in China and a new R&D and innovation centre, SHIFT (Smart Hub for Innovation and Future Trends), in Bengaluru.
Passenger vehicles accounted for 55% of total revenue in Q1, followed by 2/3 wheelers at 21%, commercial vehicles at 11%, and aftermarket at 10%. In terms of business mix, advanced plastics contributed 51%, structures and control systems 18%, alternate fuels 9%, aftermarket 10%, and mechatronics 5%.
New launches during the quarter included shark fin antennas and feeder assemblies for models from Mahindra & Mahindra, Honda Cars (exports), and Toyota.
Lumax Auto Technologies Ltd. manufactures a range of automotive components including lighting systems, gear shifters, emission systems, and interior modules. The company operates 30 plants across major auto hubs in India and supplies to OEMs including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Honda, and Daimler India.
