Automobili Lamborghini introduced the Temerario, a twin-turbo V8 hybrid super sports car, to the Indian market. The vehicle, part of Lamborghini’s High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (CVEV) range, delivers 907 Hp and reaches 10,000 rpm, marking it as the first production super sports car to achieve this engine speed. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 343 km/h. The Temerario starts at Rs 6 crores ex-showroom.
The Temerario follows the Revuelto V12 CVEV and Urus SE plug-in hybrid SUV, completing Lamborghini’s hybrid transition under the Direzione Cor Tauri strategy. Francesco Scardaoni, Region Director of Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific, noted that India is a key market, with record sales in 2024. He highlighted the Temerario’s new V8 engine, three electric motors, and personalization options through the Ad Personam program, which offers over 400 exterior colors and various interior trims.
The vehicle features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a specific output of 197 Hp per liter, producing 789 Hp and 730 Nm of torque. Three electric motors—two on the front axle and one integrated with the V8—support the powertrain, enabling all-wheel drive and a system output of 907 Hp. A 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery powers the electric motors, rechargeable in 30 minutes via a 7 kW charging column or regenerative braking. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, positioned behind the V8, ensures compact design and fast gear shifts.
The Temerario’s design includes a new spaceframe chassis made of aluminum, increasing torsional stiffness by over 20% compared to the Huracán. It offers 34 mm more headroom and 46 mm more legroom, accommodating passengers up to 200 cm tall. The exterior features hexagonal daytime running lights, air channels for cooling, and a shark-nose front. Aerodynamic enhancements provide 103% more rear downforce than the Huracán EVO, rising to 158% with the optional Alleggerita lightweight package, which reduces weight by over 25 kg.
The interior incorporates a “Feel like a pilot” concept with a 12.3-inch driver display, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen, and a 9.1-inch co-pilot display. Drivers can select from 13 driving modes, including Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Drift Mode, adjustable via steering wheel rotors. The exhaust system, with a flat-plane crankshaft, delivers a distinct sound tailored to each mode.
The Temerario was showcased in Viola Pasifae with an exclusive Tod’s collaboration collection, reflecting Italian craftsmanship. The launch event allowed guests to explore customization options.
