Automobili Lamborghini reported financial growth in the first quarter of 2025, with the company delivering 2,967 cars and generating €895.2 million in revenue, representing a 29.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Operating income reached €248.1 million, marking a 32.8% increase over the previous year's first quarter.
The Sant'Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer attributed the growth to the full production capacity of two key models: the Revuelto, Lamborghini's first V12 plug-in hybrid vehicle, and the new Urus SE hybrid SUV. These hybrid models represent the company's transition toward electrification while maintaining its performance heritage.
Regional sales data showed the United States leading with 933 units delivered, followed by Germany with 366 units and the United Kingdom with 272 units. The Americas region recorded 1,034 deliveries, reflecting a 21% increase, while the EMEA region delivered 1,368 units with a 7% increase, and the APAC region saw 565 deliveries with a 14% increase compared to the first quarter of 2024.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented on the results in the context of current global uncertainties and geopolitical tensions affecting international trade. The performance comes as the luxury automotive sector navigates challenges including supply chain disruptions and changing regulatory environments.
The company's hybrid vehicle lineup includes three main models with varying efficiency ratings. The Urus SE combines energy consumption of 39.5 kWh per 100 kilometers with 5.71 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, resulting in CO2 emissions of 140 grams per kilometer. The Revuelto consumes 10.1 kWh per 100 kilometers plus 11.86 liters of fuel, producing 276 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The Temerario model shows energy consumption of 26.8 kWh per 100 kilometers combined with 11.2 liters of fuel consumption, generating 272 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
Lamborghini operates as part of the Volkswagen Group under Audi's supervision, having been acquired by the German automotive conglomerate in 1998. The company has experienced multiple ownership changes since its founding, including periods under Chrysler Corporation and Malaysian-Indonesian investment groups before its current ownership structure.
The first quarter results build on Lamborghini's record-breaking 2024 performance, when the company delivered 10,687 cars and achieved €3.09 billion in revenue, exceeding the three billion euro threshold for the first time. Operating income in 2024 reached €835 million, corresponding to a 27% return on sales ratio.
