Lamborghini Huracan successor Temerario to debut on August 16
4.0-litre V8 PHEV setup expected to produce over 900hp.
Lamborghini’s design director, Mitja Borkert, has sent out a teaser of the upcoming Huracan successor, giving us a hint of what to expect from the model. The hybrid supercar, which is likely to be called the Temerario, is scheduled to make its first appearance at the Monterey Car Week on August 16.
While the teaser only shows the silhouette of the soon-to-arrive supercar, it does reveal that the Huracan successor will have a typical Lambo-esque body – it’ll be sleek and aggressive-looking, which will aid in its aerodynamics.
Spy shots of the model on test showed that a number of styling elements will be shared with Lamborghini’s flagship, the Revuelto – the Y-shaped motifs on the bumpers, the lights (front and rear), and the wheels. The rear of the supercar had a high-mounted hexagonal end can and a prominent rear diffuser with scooped-out edges that expose the wheels.
As we’ve reported before, the supercar will come with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 800hp and 730Nm, and is said to rev up to 10,000rpm. This petrol engine will be combined with an electric motor that’s mounted in the dual-clutch gearbox unit, and produces 150hp and 300Nm. Total output figures are expected to be north of 900hp. Battery details of this plug-in hybrid supercar have yet to be revealed.
