Kinetic Green appoints S Sundareswaran as Director of Manufacturing and Operations

He comes with three deacdes of experience in the automotive and auto component industries.

Kinetic Green, an electric two and three-wheeler manufacturer has appointed S. Sundareswaran as the Director of Manufacturing and Operations.

Sundareswaran, who earlier served at Ashok Leyland, Switch Mobility Automotive andTAFE Ltd, comes with experience of more than three decades. He will look into the areas of leadership in production, quality assurance, supply chain management and manufacturing engineering activities.

Sundareswaran has previously headed the successful creation of an electric vehicle plant capable of manufacturing 3000 chassis annually, complete with a 1000 MW Lithium ION battery manufacturing and charging facilities. He has demonstrated success in launching four new EV products, noted the press release.

Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green said, "Sundareswaran is a proven leader with a deep understanding of the manufacturing, quality and sourcing excellence process."

"His leadership will be instrumental in driving our growth, helping create advanced, high quality yet affordable EVs and spur innovation as we continue to expand our EV product portfolio," she added. 

Kinetic Green, the electric vehicle arm of the Kinetic Group is in the final leg of raising about $30 million or Rs 250 crore from external investors to fund its expansion plan, Autocar Professional reported in December. 

The company is likely to close the fundraise within the next quarter, said the Founder and CEO of the company, Sulajja Firodia Motwani to Autocar Professional.

The company which generated about Rs 300 crore of business by selling a modest number of electric two and three-wheelers in 2023, aims to cross Rs 1000 crore in turnover in FY25.
