Kia India has strengthened its collaboration with the Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB) by making its sub-compact SUV, Kia Syros, and the recently launched Kia Carens Clavis available to police and paramilitary personnel. With this move, the company’s complete internal combustion engine (ICE) line-up — including the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Syros, and Carens Clavis — can now be purchased through the KPKB network at special prices.
The initiative gives serving and retired personnel, along with their families, access to Kia’s vehicles across KPKB’s nationwide distribution system of 119 master canteens and 1,871 subsidiary outlets. The network currently benefits over 3.5 million members from the police and paramilitary forces. To facilitate sales and after-sales services, 362 Kia dealerships have also been brought under the program, offering 92 different trims from the company’s product range.
Kia emphasized that its vehicles are recognized for their design, performance, and connected technologies, including over-the-air (OTA) updates, as well as comfort and safety features. Commenting on the development, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said, “We are truly honored to strengthen our partnership with Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar and extend Kia’s complete ICE product line-up to the courageous police and paramilitary personnel, as well as their families. This initiative underscores our commitment to delivering advanced, safe, and sustainable mobility solutions to those who protect and serve the nation.”
KPKB, established in 2006 by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, is a welfare initiative aimed at supporting Central Armed Police Forces such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Assam Rifles. The program also extends its benefits to central police organizations including the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD), and National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).
Kia India, a subsidiary of Kia Corporation, entered the Indian market in 2017 and set up a manufacturing plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Since commencing production in 2019, the automaker has dispatched over 1.5 million vehicles, including 1.2 million units for the domestic market and 367,000 for export. The company currently offers nine models in India and operates a network of 796 touchpoints across 360 cities.
