Kia India Re-launches Driving Safety Program with New Seltos
Automaker introduces behavior-based scoring system through connected app to analyze real-time driving patterns, promote road safety, and foster community engagement among vehicle owners nationwide.
Kia India has re-launched its Kia Inspiring Drive (K.I.D) Program alongside the New Kia Seltos, reinforcing the company's focus on road safety and responsible driving behavior.
The program, accessible through the Kia Connect app, analyzes real-time driving behavior and provides customers with insights into their driving habits. The K.I.D score is calculated using a three-month rolling average across parameters including rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration, and sudden starts, with weighted values based on the vehicle type to ensure accuracy and fairness.
Beyond individual metrics, the initiative incorporates community-based leaderboards that enable Kia owners to compare scores and track their standing among peers. This competitive element aims to encourage continuous improvement in driving behavior through healthy competition.
"Safety remains at the core of Kia's philosophy, and with the re-launch of the Kia Inspiring Drive program alongside the New Seltos, we are taking another meaningful step towards encouraging responsible driving behavior," said Atul Sood, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Kia India. The program empowers customers with data-driven insights to make safer choices while enhancing the ownership experience.
The program will roll out across Kia's connected product portfolio in phases. Users can access the feature by navigating to the Kia Connect App, selecting New Services, and then choosing the Kia Inspiring Drive Program. A press and digital communication campaign will support the re-launch to drive awareness among customers.
