Kia India Partners with Avis Leasing to Expand Mobility Solutions
Kia India has entered into a strategic partnership with Avis Leasing to strengthen its leasing program, offering flexible mobility options with extended tenures and comprehensive maintenance coverage for customers.
Kia India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Avis Leasing to enhance its presence in the country's growing vehicle leasing and subscription market. This collaboration marks Kia's third major leasing partnership in India.
The agreement aims to provide customers with flexible alternatives to traditional vehicle ownership through the Kia Lease Program. The initiative offers lease tenures ranging from 36 to 60 months with multiple mileage options and no initial down payment requirement.
Atul Sood, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, emphasized the significance of the leasing sector in India's automotive industry. He noted that the partnership represents efforts to create a scalable platform addressing evolving customer preferences while generating demand beyond conventional ownership models.
The leasing program includes comprehensive services such as maintenance, insurance renewal, and resale coverage. Customers retain flexibility at the end of their lease term, with options to return the vehicle or upgrade to a newer Kia model.
Kia India launched its leasing program in 2024, subsequently forming partnerships with Orix India and Ayvens India. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh with an annual production capacity of 300,000 units and maintains a network of 821 touchpoints across 369 cities nationwide.
The automaker has dispatched nearly 1.5 million vehicles from its Anantapur plant since commencing operations, including over 1.2 million domestic sales and more than 367,000 exports. Kia India currently offers nine vehicle models in the Indian market.
