Kankanala Sports Group unveils INDE Racing, India's first global independent motorsport team

Kankanala Sports Group unveils INDE Racing, India's first global independent motorsport team

Kankanala Sports Group (KSG) has launched INDE Racing, India's first FIM-licensed independent motorsport team. The announcement follows KSG's exclusive nine-year partnership with FIM E-Explorer for overseeing races in India.

INDE Racing is set to compete in the 2024 FIM E-Xplorer season, participating in every round from February to November. The team will navigate challenging tracks in Japan, Norway, France, Switzerland, and conclude the season with a triumphant return to India.

Abhishek Reddy Kankanala, founder of Kankanala Sports Group and INDE Racing, expressed the team's commitment to breaking new grounds in Indian motorsports. The team aims not only to compete on the racetrack but also to promote sustainability, gender equality, and innovation.

INDE Racing's lineup features Aishwarya Pissay, Asia's first female athlete to win a world championship in 2-wheel motorsport. Pissay, along with international riders Spenser Wilton from Canada and Sandra Gomez from Spain, the reigning champion of the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup, forms a diverse and talented team.

Aishwarya Pissay commented, "Being able to be part of a project aiming to represent all Indians worldwide and make them proud is a unique opportunity." The team is actively searching for a competitive Indian male rider to complete its roster.

Carina Munte, FIM E-Xplorer Co-Founder, welcomed INDE Racing to the Championship, highlighting how the team's presence will contribute to global enthusiasm for e-mobility and electric motorsports.

INDE Racing has partnered with KTM34 garage in France to tune its bikes professionally and maximize performance capability, further emphasizing India's rising prominence in global sports.
