Jupiter Electric Mobility Opens First Showroom in Hyderabad
JEM launches first Hyderabad showroom, introducing the JEM TEZ eLCV to boost sustainable urban logistics and expand its national footprint in key commercial markets.
Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (JEM), the electric commercial vehicle division of Jupiter Wagons Ltd., has launched its first retail showroom in Hyderabad at New Bowenpally, Secunderabad. The facility, operated in collaboration with Arven Motors Private Limited, marks a key step in JEM’s broader pan-India expansion strategy and brings its flagship electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV), the JEM TEZ, to Telangana’s growing urban logistics sector.
The new showroom offers customers a comprehensive experience, including vehicle displays, on-site test drives, and consultations with trained sales personnel. It aims to support informed decision-making by allowing potential buyers to evaluate the JEM TEZ under real-world conditions. The launch positions JEM closer to fleet operators and logistics businesses in the region, enhancing accessibility and after-sales engagement.
The JEM TEZ is a 1.05-ton, four-wheeler eLCV designed for intra-city freight, last-mile delivery, and FMCG distribution. It features an 80kW peak motor, a certified range of over 300 km, and a verified operational range of more than 190 km under typical load conditions. The vehicle also offers 23% gradeability and is equipped with telematics for fleet monitoring. According to the company, these specifications make it suitable for urban logistics operations where efficiency, reliability, and low operating costs are essential.
Hyderabad was selected as a strategic location due to its growing role as a logistics and e-commerce hub, supported by a developed warehousing infrastructure and state-level initiatives promoting electric vehicle adoption. The city’s central location within India further strengthens its appeal for commercial vehicle deployment.
The showroom was officially inaugurated by Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Group, alongside G.V. Suresh Babu, Founder of Arven Motors, and JEM executives Gaurav Jalota and Kartik Hajela, CEOs of Jupiter Electric Mobility and its battery division, respectively.
Speaking at the event, Vivek Lohia said, “Hyderabad’s evolving logistics ecosystem and supportive EV policies make it a logical choice for our expansion. The JEM TEZ is engineered to meet the demands of urban freight with a focus on performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability. This launch reflects our commitment to delivering purpose-built electric mobility solutions for India’s commercial transport sector.”
JEM is also building a wider support ecosystem through partnerships with companies including Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, Automovill, and Tapfin. These collaborations aim to strengthen charging infrastructure, financing options, and after-sales service networks. Additionally, JEM TEZ owners can access the company’s ‘JEM Udaan’ program, which provides business support and connectivity for drivers and fleet operators.
With the Hyderabad launch, JEM is expanding its customer service footprint in South India. The company plans to open facilities in other major cities, including Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Thiruvananthapuram, as part of its phased rollout across the country.
A subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Ltd., JEM focuses on developing electric commercial vehicles tailored for urban and regional logistics. The company is investing in an integrated EV ecosystem, including vehicle manufacturing, battery technology, and mobility support services.
