JSW MG Motor India Unveils MG Majestor D+ Segment SUV

JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG Majestor, positioning it as India's first D+ segment SUV. The vehicle was previously showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and is now available for pre-booking at Rs 41,000.

The Majestor measures 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. According to the company, these dimensions make it the longest, widest, and tallest vehicle in its segment. The SUV offers ground clearance of 219 mm and water wading capability of up to 810 mm.

The vehicle is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. The 4WD system includes 10 off-road modes and triple differential locks covering the front, rear, and center differentials — a first-in-segment feature according to MG Motor.

Safety features include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree HD camera, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Traction Control System (TCS), and Roll Movement Intervention (RMI).

Interior features include ventilated and massage-equipped front seats with driver memory function, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, and a 12-speaker JBL audio system. The vehicle supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly and includes dual wireless chargers and a 220V power outlet. It is available in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.

Commenting on the launch, Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, stated: "With MG Majestor, we have created an SUV that is rugged in its capability, refined in its comfort, and dependable in its engineering."

The Majestor will be offered in Sharp and Savvy variants across both drivetrain options, with four color choices: Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black, and Metal Ash. The vehicle comes with a 5-year unlimited kilometer warranty, 5-year roadside assistance, and 5 labor-free services under the company's Complete Peace of Mind program.

Pre-reservations opened on February 12, 2026, through the company's website. The manufacturer plans to announce full pricing in April 2026, with showroom displays and test drives scheduled to begin the same month. Deliveries are expected to commence in May 2026.

Early customers will receive priority deliveries, access to exclusive previews in select cities during March 2026, and invitations to experiential drives. Additionally, through a partnership with ICICI Bank, customers will receive an exclusive invitation for the ICICI Emeralde Credit Card with zero joining fee.

JSW MG Motor India is a joint venture formed in 2023 between SAIC Motor, a Fortune 500 company, and JSW Group. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 vehicles.
