JK Tyre Launches Shresth Plus Farm Tyre at Krishi Darshan Expo in Hisar
The new product targets farmers operating higher horsepower tractors and is designed to perform across varied soil conditions and extended working hours.
JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. introduced a new farm tyre, Shresth Plus, at the Krishi Darshan Expo 2026 in Hisar on February 16. The product was unveiled by Subhash Barala, a Member of the Rajya Sabha, in the presence of Srinivasu Allaphan, Director of Sales and Marketing at JK Tyre, and other company officials.
The launch adds to JK Tyre's existing range of farm tyres and is positioned within what the company describes as the premium segment of its agricultural portfolio.
Shresth Plus features a high Non-Skid Depth, a broad lug design, and a distributed tread pattern intended to improve traction and extend mileage. An angular step lug pattern and tie bars between lugs are designed to stabilise the tyre and reduce tread movement in field conditions.
The tyre also incorporates what JK Tyre calls an Eagle Eye design, along with a nylon body structure and reinforced buttress to support load-carrying capacity and resistance to sidewall damage during both field and road use.
Speaking at the launch, Allaphan said the company is responding to shifts in Indian agriculture, where higher horsepower tractors and longer operating hours have created demand for tyres with greater durability. "Shresth Plus reflects this direction, combining superior traction, durability, and stability to meet the evolving needs of modern farming," he said.
JK Tyre is displaying its complete farm tyre range at Stall OA-15-16 at the Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute in Hisar, where the expo runs from February 14 to 16. The display includes products across tractor categories and intended applications.
The company has also set up a motorsport demonstration area at the expo, where a stunt driver is performing live tractor stunts for visitors.
JK Tyre & Industries, the flagship company of the JK Organisation, is among the top 20 tyre manufacturers in the world by the company's own account. It operates 11 manufacturing facilities — nine in India and two in Mexico — with a combined annual output of around 35 million tyres.
The company produced its first radial tyre in India in 1977 and maintains a research and technology centre, the Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence, in Mysore. JK Tyre has received environmental and safety recognition, including a rating from the British Safety Council and inclusion among companies in the RE100 initiative, a global corporate renewable energy programme.
