JK Tyre Achieves Silver Rating from EcoVadis, Ranks in Top 7% Globally

The Indian tyre manufacturer scored 77 out of 100 in sustainability assessment, with environmental performance earning the highest marks at 89 points across key metrics.

JK Tyre Achieves Silver Rating from EcoVadis, Ranks in Top 7% Globally

JK Tyre & Industries Limited has been awarded a Silver Rating by EcoVadis, placing the company in the 93rd percentile globally and among the top 7% of assessed companies across all industries.

The rating evaluates companies on four key pillars: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. JK Tyre achieved an overall score of 77 out of 100 for the fiscal year 2025, with environmental performance emerging as its strongest area at 89 points.

The environmental score reflects the company's efforts in climate action, energy efficiency, emissions management, and environmental management systems. The achievement underscores JK Tyre's focus on sustainability practices across its operations.

Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of JK Tyre & Industries Limited, described the rating as validation of the company's integrated sustainability approach. He attributed the performance to focused initiatives spanning environmental stewardship, ethical governance, labour practices, and responsible sourcing.

JK Tyre operates 11 manufacturing facilities globally – nine in India and two in Mexico – producing approximately 35 million tyres annually. The company is among the top 20 tyre manufacturers worldwide and pioneered radial tyre technology in India with its first radial tyre in 1977.

The company has received several sustainability recognitions, including the 'Sword of Honour' for Safety from the British Safety Council across all its plants. JK Tyre is also India's first tyre company to join RE100, a global initiative for companies committed to renewable electricity.
