Jitendra EV has announced the adoption of the LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) connector, for its electric scooter JMT 1000 SW. LECCS is an India-designed charging connector specifically for light electric vehicles (LEVs). This adoption will enable Jitendra EV customers to access Ather’s fast-charging network, supporting the growth of electric mobility in India.

With the integration of LECCS, the JMT 1000 SW model will be able to utilise fast-charging stations on AtherGrid. The JMT 1000 SW features a gross vehicle weight of 255 kg, a payload capacity of 150 kg, tubeless tires, alloy wheels, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. With a ground clearance of 175 mm.

The JMT 1000 SW is powered by The Energy Company battery, offering a range of 100 km per charge with a full charge time of 50 minutes. It includes a cluster display with features such as distance to empty, fault finding indication, thermal propagation alert, battery percentage indication, and time to charge. Other features include a USB charging port, three-speed modes, and reverse gear.

Currently, only the JMT 1000 SW is compatible with Ather’s fast-charging network, but Jitendra EV plans to extend this capability to additional models in the future. This initiative was successfully tested in a pilot program in Goa, and Jitendra EV is now moving forward with commercial production to make this technology available to customers nationwide.
