Jio-bp, UPSRTC Partner for EV Charging Network Across UP, Delhi
Partnership will support deployment of charging infrastructure for over 100 electric buses across six clusters in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi over the coming months.
Jio-bp and the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) have entered into a partnership to deploy EV charging infrastructure and services for more than 100 electric buses operating across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
The charging network will be developed through Jio-bp pulse, the company’s electric mobility business, and will span six clusters across the two regions. The rollout is expected to take place over the next few months as part of efforts to support electric public transport operations.
Under the agreement, Jio-bp will install fast-charging infrastructure intended for high-frequency commercial fleet operations. The company said the infrastructure is aimed at reducing turnaround times and improving operational efficiency for electric bus services.
The project adds to Jio-bp’s growing EV charging network, which the company said currently includes more than 6,000 charging points across India. The partnership also expands its presence in the commercial fleet electrification segment.
“This partnership with UPSRTC aligns closely with Jio-bp’s strategy of building a robust and scalable B2B EV charging ecosystem for India,” said Akshay Wadhwa, CEO, Jio-bp.
The collaboration is part of broader efforts to expand public EV infrastructure and support electric mobility adoption in mass transit systems across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
