Jindal Mobilitric Launches R40 Electric Vehicle Model with 165 km Range

Jindal Mobilitric, a subsidiary of Jindal Worldwide Limited, has unveiled its R40 electric vehicle model with a range of 165 kilometers. The company has submitted the model for government homologation and expects approval soon.

The vehicle represents Jindal Worldwide's entry into the electric mobility sector. The company has established a manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad with production capacity of 250,000 vehicles annually. A separate in-house battery manufacturing plant operates with similar capacity.

Jindal Mobilitric currently operates through 35 dealers across India and plans to expand to 100 dealerships within the next year. The company stated that its production facility is operational and ready to begin vehicle rollout once regulatory approval is obtained.

The R40 model was developed through in-house research and development efforts. The company established its own battery manufacturing facility to ensure safety standards and support faster adoption of electric vehicles in India.

Jindal Worldwide is primarily known as a textile and denim fabric manufacturer based in Ahmedabad. The company operates as the flagship entity of the Jindal Group and describes itself as one of the world's largest denim fabric manufacturers. The electric vehicle venture marks the company's diversification into new business sectors.

The company plans to announce additional details about the R40 model, including specifications and launch timeline, through its official website and social media channels following regulatory approval.
