JCB India on Thursday inaugurated a new dealership facility in Ranchi, operated by Premsons Motor Udyog Pvt. Ltd., expanding its presence in Jharkhand.
The facility offers sales, service and parts support for JCB's product range to customers in Ranchi and across the state. It spans 18,000 sq. ft., includes a four-bay workshop and employs about 230 people. It will serve as the dealership's headquarters, overseeing operations in 15 districts of Jharkhand.
Built to JCB's global corporate identity standards, the site houses a LiveLink Command Centre. The company describes LiveLink as its telematics platform, providing real-time data on machine performance, service requirements, utilisation and security, and enabling round-the-clock fleet management support. The facility also has a rainwater harvesting system.
Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, said Jharkhand is playing a growing role in India's infrastructure, mining and industrial growth, creating opportunities for the construction equipment sector. He said the investment reflects the company's long-term commitment to the state and would help improve customer engagement and service capabilities.
Shetty also praised Premsons Motor Udyog, describing it as a family-owned business that has grown alongside JCB. He said the two companies share a commitment to delivering products, service and support to customers, and expressed hope of building on the partnership.
The company did not disclose the investment amount for the facility.
