JBM Auto Limited reported a 12.5 percent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 58.76 crore for Q2 FY27, supported by volume growth across its electric mobility and auto component divisions, although consolidated profit before tax fell slightly to Rs 74.18 crore compared to Rs 74.39 crore a year earlier.
Consolidated revenue from operations, including other operating income, grew 21 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,656.37 crore compared to Rs 1,368.24 crore in the previous financial year.
Revenue expansion was driven by both core business segments. The auto components division reported a 24.68 percent increase in sales to Rs 1,036.97 crore compared to Rs 831.69 crore in Q2 FY26. Concurrently, revenue from the electric vehicle business increased 21.84 percent to Rs 548.33 crore from Rs 450.05 crore in the prior-year period.
The top-line expansion outpaced operating profit growth due to a rise in total consolidated expenditure, which rose to Rs 1,583.70 crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 1,295.69 crore in the year-ago quarter. Direct raw material consumption expenses rose to Rs 1,131.66 crore compared to Rs 908.52 crore in Q2 FY26. Finance costs for the quarter increased to Rs 155.98 crore from Rs 145.12 crore a year earlier.
