Jay Bharat Maruti (JBML) Q2 Net Profit Jumps 73 Percent to Rs 31 Crore
The auto component maker reports 41 percent top-line growth driven by higher volume demand across core operations.
Jay Bharat Maruti Limited (JBML), a Tier-1 auto components manufacturer part of the JBM Group, reported a 72.6 percent year-on-year increase in standalone net profit to Rs 31.12 crore for Q2 FY27, up from Rs 18.03 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
On a sequential basis, standalone net profit grew 46.8 percent compared to Rs 21.20 crore recorded in Q1 FY27. The profit expansion was supported by strong revenue growth across its automotive component manufacturing operations, which offset a rise in raw material expenses.
Standalone revenue from operations for Q2 FY27 expanded 41.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 823.42 crore compared to Rs 582.65 crore in Q2 FY26, and grew 31.4 percent sequentially over Rs 626.79 crore in Q1 FY27.
Total standalone expenses rose 41.7 percent year-on-year to Rs 787.08 crore against Rs 555.35 crore in the year-ago quarter, and increased 31.5 percent sequentially from Rs 598.61 crore. The increase in outlays was primarily driven by raw material costs, which rose 50.1 percent year-on-year to Rs 646.51 crore from Rs 430.77 crore.
On a consolidated basis, net profit for the quarter rose 73.7 percent year-on-year to Rs 32.01 crore from Rs 18.43 crore in Q2 FY26, while consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 823.42 crore.
Auditor's notes highlighted that the company opted for the concessional tax regime under Section 115BAA with effect from April 1, 2026, lowering its applicable tax rate from 34.94 percent to 25.17 percent and resulting in a deferred tax adjustment of Rs 36.79 crore recognized in Q4 FY26.
Alongside financial performance, the company announced that Mayank Varma has been re-designated as Chief Executive Officer, taking charge of both the tooling and auto components divisions.
