Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has announced its entry onto Amazon's platform, expanding its online sales presence beyond Flipkart to reach customers across more than 40 cities in India. The company plans to extend its reach to over 100 cities during the ongoing festive season.

The motorcycle manufacturer made history last year as the first brand to sell premium 350cc motorcycles through Flipkart. According to the company, its October 2024 debut on the platform achieved a conversion rate that doubled the previous industry benchmark for online two-wheeler sales within the first month.

"We went into e-commerce a year back with the simple belief: If our young consumers did not hesitate to book a holiday or buy a car online, then they should be able to own a Jawa or Yezdi the same way," said Sharad Agarwal, Chief Business Officer of Classic Legends, the parent company of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles.

The purchase process involves three steps: customers pay the ex-showroom price on Amazon or Flipkart, then complete payment of the balance on-road price at an affiliated dealership, which handles registration and insurance. Once registration is complete, buyers can take delivery of their motorcycle.

Both e-commerce platforms are offering financial incentives for the festive season. Amazon provides easy EMI options and 5 percent cashback for Prime customers using Amazon Pay ICICI co-branded credit cards. Flipkart offers 24-month no-cost EMI and up to Rs 4,000 cashback on select co-branded credit cards, along with motorcycle finance and insurance facilities.

Available models on both platforms include the Jawa 350, 42, 42 FJ, 42 Bobber, and Perak, as well as the Yezdi Adventure Single Headlight. Amazon additionally lists the Yezdi Scrambler.

Currently, over 40 dealers across more than 30 cities are active on the platforms, spanning all major regions of India. The company has expanded its overall dealer network to over 450 touchpoints nationwide.

Customers purchasing through either platform will be eligible for the Jawa Yezdi Ownership Assurance Programme, which includes a 4-year/50,000 km standard warranty, extended warranty options up to six years, flexible two-year anytime warranty coverage, one year of complimentary roadside assistance (extendable to eight years), and a five-year comprehensive annual maintenance contract package.

Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd., founded to reintroduce iconic motorcycle brands in India and international markets, currently manages the Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA brands.
