Bajaj Auto Q2 Net Profit Rises 35% to Rs 3,354 Crore as Revenue Crosses Rs 20,000 Crore
The two- and three-wheeler major delivers record quarterly revenue and net profit driven by a 41 percent surge in export volumes and expanding EV sales.
Bajaj Auto has reported a 35 percent year-on-year increase in standalone profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 3,353.76 crore for Q2 FY27, supported by strong export demand and volume expansion across electric segments.
Standalone revenue from operations grew 34 percent year on year to cross the Rs 20,000 crore threshold for the first time, reaching Rs 20,003.43 crore in Q2 FY27 compared to Rs 14,922.05 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
A rise in operating expenditure was driven by higher production volumes and raw material costs. Total standalone expenses for the quarter increased 33 percent to Rs 15,965.28 crore compared to Rs 11,996.47 crore in Q2 FY26. Raw material and component costs expanded to Rs 13,227.93 crore from Rs 9,717.71 crore. Profit before tax rose 35 percent to Rs 4,457.49 crore.
On a consolidated basis, which includes its financing arm Bajaj Auto Credit Limited and European mobility investments, net PAT attributable to the owners of the company increased nearly 62 percent year on year to Rs 3,436.10 crore from Rs 2,122.03 crore. Consolidated revenue from operations grew 59 percent to Rs 25,125.56 crore, while total consolidated expenses rose to Rs 21,107.36 crore from Rs 12,677.41 crore in the year-ago period.
Total vehicle sales for the quarter rose 19 percent to 1,548,884 units. Commercial vehicle volumes expanded 17 percent to 264,923 units, while two-wheeler sales grew 20 percent to 1,283,961 units. Export two-wheeler billings surged 43.21 percent to 676,545 units, but domestic two-wheeler sales increased by only 1.82 percent to 607,416 units. Total export billings across two-wheelers and commercial vehicles reached 778,528 units, reflecting a 40 percent year-on-year increase led by recoveries in African and Latin American markets.
The electric portfolio, comprising Chetak electric scooters and electric three-wheelers, closed in on 200,000 units during the quarter, contributing approximately one-third of domestic sales revenue. Chetak quarterly revenues crossed Rs 2,000 crore as sales volumes more than doubled year on year despite supply constraints. Combined domestic revenues for the premium KTM and Triumph motorcycle brands grew 45 percent year on year on volumes exceeding 40,000 units.
For the first half of FY27 ended September 30, 2026, Bajaj Auto reported standalone operational revenue of Rs 37,247.15 crore, up 35.41 percent from Rs 27,506.50 crore in H1 FY26.
