Integrals Power Appoints Tony Harper as Strategic Advisor to Support Business Expansion

Integrals Power has announced the appointment of Tony Harper to its advisory board, as the company prepares to expand its operations and bring its cathode active material technologies to market.

Harper, who has over 40 years of experience in the automotive and battery technology sectors, is expected to contribute to the company’s growth strategy. His previous roles include Director of Engineering Research at Jaguar Land Rover and Challenge Director of the Faraday Battery Challenge at UK Research and Innovation, where he was responsible for overseeing the UK government's investment in battery innovation.

As a strategic advisor, Harper will assist Integrals Power in identifying funding opportunities, exploring locations for new facilities, forming industry collaborations, and supporting commercial development. The company is currently focused on the production and commercialisation of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP) cathode active materials. Its LMFP technology, which includes 80% manganese content, is designed to provide energy density levels comparable to existing nickel-based chemistries, while aiming to reduce costs and improve robustness.

Integrals Power has already established a pilot plant for cathode active materials in the UK and has validated its LMFP technology through independent testing and customer trials. With further scale-up planned, the company aims to play a role in supporting the UK’s battery supply chain.

Founder and CEO Behnam Hormozi said Harper’s appointment comes at a key stage in the company’s development, as it looks to move beyond pilot testing and prepare for commercial deployment.

In a statement, Harper said he is looking forward to contributing to the company’s plans. He emphasised the importance of industry-academia collaboration, policy support, and investment to enable the UK to advance in battery production and benefit from the transition to electric mobility.
