Affordable Robotic and Automation Limited (ARAPL), India's first publicly listed robotics company, has announced its first US contract for the Atlas AC2000, an autonomous truck loading and unloading robot developed by its subsidiary ARAPL RaaS (Humro).
The order, placed by a US-based logistics company, involves supplying two mobile robots on a three-year lease valued at Rs 3.6 crore (approximately $430,000). The deal follows three months of prototype trials at the client's facilities.
According to the company, the initial order could lead to larger deployments, with potential for 15-16 mobile robots across each of the client's 15 US warehouses over the next two years.
The Atlas AC2000 features LiDAR-based navigation, real-time obstacle detection, and precision control algorithms for autonomous truck loading and unloading operations. The system is designed for continuous operation and integrates with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
ARAPL has announced plans to invest $8-10 million in Humro, including $3 million from founder and managing director Milind Padole personally, supplemented by preferential allotments and debt financing.
The company recently announced a 10% price increase effective December 2025 due to new US tariffs, while maintaining that its products remain 15-20% more cost-competitive than competitors in the market.
Founded in 2005 by Milind Padole, ARAPL operates a 350,000 square foot facility with over 400 employees. The company's portfolio includes more than 7,000 industrial robots and 10,000 automated car parking systems.
ARAPL became India's first listed robotics company in 2018, debuting on the BSE SME Exchange at Rs 85 per share, and migrated to the main board NSE and BSE exchanges in 2024. The company holds nine patents and operates three proprietary software platforms across industrial assembly, robotic inspection, and warehouse automation sectors.
