Hyundai Motor India Posts 9.1% Domestic Sales Growth in May 2026

HMIL sold 47,837 units in the domestic market last month, while total sales, including exports, reached 61,137 units, marking 4.1% year-on-year growth.

Hyundai Motor India Posts 9.1% Domestic Sales Growth in May 2026

Hyundai Motor India reported domestic sales of 47,837 units in May 2026, registering a 9.1% year-on-year increase, while total sales, including exports, stood at 61,137 units, up 4.1% from the same period last year.

Exports contributed 13,300 units during the month, accounting for a significant share of the automaker’s overall volumes.

The company said domestic sales momentum continued into the first two months of FY27, with cumulative domestic dispatches for April and May reaching 99,739 units, compared to 88,235 units during the corresponding period of FY26, representing a 13% increase.

Commenting on the sales performance, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said, “Hyundai Motor India has continued its strong momentum of the year into May as well, achieving domestic sales of 47,837 units with 9.1% YoY growth and total sales of 61,137 units with 4.1% YoY growth.”

The May performance follows continued growth in the company’s domestic business, supported by higher volumes in the opening months of the current financial year.
