Hyundai India Reports 17 Percent Rise in April Domestic Sales to 51,902 Units

Hyundai Motor India Limited reported domestic sales of 51,902 units for April 2026, marking a 17 percent year on year growth. This figure represents the automaker's highest ever domestic sales tally for the month of April since its inception. Alongside its domestic dispatches, the company exported 13,708 units during the same period.

The overall volume growth was significantly supported by the performance of the Hyundai Venue. The model achieved its highest ever monthly domestic sales, registering 12,420 units in April. Company management attributed this specific momentum partly to the vehicle recently receiving a five star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP testing program.

Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, stated that the strong start to the new financial year was driven by positive market responses to recent product introductions. These portfolio updates include the new Exter, Verna, and Ioniq 5, along with new variant additions such as the Creta Summer Edition, Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition, and the Venue Knight Edition.
