Horse Powertrain Launches kAIros Initiative to Scale Industrial AI Capabilities

Horse Powertrain has announced the launch of kAIros, a company-wide artificial intelligence initiative aimed at strengthening its industrial capabilities and accelerating product development timelines. The programme is being led by its Horse Technologies division and is supported by NVIDIA, Google Cloud and Deloitte.

The kAIros initiative is designed to combine cloud-based infrastructure with high-performance computing systems to support a range of industrial applications. These include simulation, digital twins, and real-time data processing across manufacturing and engineering operations. The company has outlined targets such as reducing time-to-market by nearly 50 percent, lowering low-value process work by 40 percent, and improving design cycle efficiency by 25 percent.

At the core of the initiative is an AI Factory, which will enable model training, simulation, and advanced analytics across business functions. The setup includes NVIDIA RTX PRO servers and GPU-powered cloud infrastructure, alongside AI software tools to support application development. The system is expected to enhance operational visibility across factories, logistics networks, and product development cycles.

The initiative also includes the deployment of AI agents supported by Google’s enterprise tools to streamline coordination processes. In addition, kAIros focuses on physical AI applications, allowing real-time interaction between digital systems and on-ground operations such as robotics, automated guided vehicles, and quality inspection systems.

A dedicated Center of Excellence will oversee the development and scaling of AI capabilities within the organisation. This team will work on building internal expertise and deploying use cases that improve predictive accuracy and operational efficiency.

The company stated that kAIros forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities, particularly in Europe, by integrating AI into core industrial processes.
