Honda WN7 electric motorcycle revealed

The Honda WN7 electric motorcycle has been revealed as the brand’s first fix-battery naked electric bike.  Honda says the WN7 is aimed at the “Fun” segment, blending the brand’s 75 years of motorcycling expertise with its long-term sustainability goals.

The name “WN7” reflects the bike’s ethos: “W” for “Be the Wind” (development concept), “N” for Naked, and “7” for its output class. Derived from the EV Fun Concept showcased at EICMA 2024 in Milan, the WN7 features a slim, futuristic EV-specific design and performance levels comparable to 600cc ICE-powered motorcycles in output and 1000cc ICE bikes in torque. Honda says that the WN7’s fixed lithium-ion battery offers an estimated range of over 130 km, supports CCS2 rapid charging from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes, and can be fully charged at home in under three hours. A 5-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync connectivity suite is on offer as well.

Honda says it had identified the year 2024 as the starting point for its global electric motorcycle expansion, with the WN7 electric motorcycle spearheading its entry into performance-oriented EV two-wheelers.
