Honda Launches 50th Anniversary Edition of Gold Wing Tour in India at ₹39.90 Lakh

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the 50th Anniversary Edition of its Gold Wing Tour motorcycle in India. Priced at ₹39.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), the special edition model commemorates 50 years since the original Gold Wing was launched globally in 1975. Bookings are now open, and the motorcycle will be sold exclusively through Honda’s premium BigWing Topline dealerships, with customer deliveries set to commence in June 2025.

The 2025 Gold Wing Tour carries forward the touring-focused character of its predecessors and features several updates. It gets a Bordeaux Red Metallic paint scheme along with a 50th Anniversary emblem bearing the “Since 1975” tag. The styling includes aerodynamic enhancements, a full-LED lighting system, and airflow-optimized vents.

In terms of technology, the motorcycle is equipped with a 7.0-inch full-colour TFT display that integrates riding, navigation, and audio information. It also includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, two USB Type-C ports, and a welcome screen displaying “Since 1975.” Touring comfort is enhanced by an electrically adjustable windscreen and updated audio system speakers.

The Gold Wing Tour is powered by a 1,833cc, liquid-cooled, flat six-cylinder engine that produces 93 kW of power and 170 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The model also includes features like Throttle-By-Wire (TBW), dual-channel ABS, traction control, and an airbag. Riders can select from four riding modes – Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain – to suit different road and weather conditions.

According to Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, the Gold Wing Tour has evolved over the decades into a well-recognized long-distance touring motorcycle. He said the 50th Anniversary Edition is a reflection of that journey. Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, added that the new model combines innovation, comfort, and performance, making it suitable for luxury touring enthusiasts in India.
