Honda Activa Achieves 35 Million Sales Milestone in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced that its Activa scooter range has achieved cumulative sales of 35 million units across India, marking a significant milestone for the country's leading two-wheeler manufacturer.

The achievement comes 24 years after Activa's initial launch in 2001. The scooter range, which includes the Activa 110, Activa 125, and Activa-i variants, has established itself as a prominent player in India's two-wheeler market, with presence spanning metropolitan areas and smaller towns.

The sales trajectory shows accelerated growth over the years. The brand reached its first 10 million customers by 2015, doubled that figure to 20 million by 2018, and has now added another 15 million customers over the past seven years.

HMSI attributes Activa's market performance to features including ease of use, fuel efficiency, and reliability. The product has undergone regular updates in technology and user experience while maintaining its core positioning.

Recent additions to the Activa lineup include the ACTIVA e:, an electric variant, and anniversary editions of the Activa and Activa 125 launched in August 2025. The company has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the QC1 electric scooter.

HMSI's current product range extends beyond the Activa series. The scooter segment includes the Dio in 110cc and 125cc versions. The motorcycle category comprises ten models across various engine capacities, ranging from 100cc to 200cc, including the Shine, SP, CB, Unicorn, Hornet, and NX series.

The company operates through a dealer network providing sales and service access across India. Its premium motorcycle segment is managed through BigWing Topline showrooms for 200cc to 1800cc models and BigWing outlets for mid-size motorcycles from 200cc to 500cc.
