Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), in collaboration with the Delhi Traffic Police, conducted a 19-day Road Safety Summer Camp at the Delhi Traffic Training Park in Connaught Place, New Delhi. Held in June 2025, the initiative engaged over 1200 participants between the ages of 11 to 17, aiming to equip them with essential road safety skills through experiential learning.

The program brought together schools, NGOs, and trained instructors to deliver interactive sessions covering key traffic concepts. Activities included safe riding theory, cycling drills, yoga sessions, and traffic simulations designed to promote responsible road behavior among youth.

The initiative is part of HMSI’s wider mission to support the Government of India’s target of reducing road fatalities by 50% by 2030, and aligns with Honda’s global objective of achieving zero traffic collision fatalities involving its vehicles by 2050.

HMSI also operates 10 adopted Traffic Training Parks and 6 Safety Driving Education Centers across India, reaching over 10 million individuals through its road safety training efforts. Key elements of its curriculum include traffic theory, virtual simulators simulating over 100 real-world hazards, Kiken Yosoku Training (KYT) for hazard prediction, and skill-building exercises.

To further extend its reach, HMSI has introduced E-Gurukul, a digital platform offering road safety modules for children aged 5 to 18 in multiple Indian languages. The platform is accessible via egurukul.honda.hmsi.in or through email at Safety.riding@honda.hmsi.in.

The Traffic Training Park in Delhi continues to serve as a supervised environment for young learners to apply safety knowledge in real-time simulations, fostering long-term behavioral change for safer roads.
