Hindustan Media Ventures Limited (HMVL) has reported a consolidated net profit of ₹7,778 lakhs for the financial year 2024-25, marking a substantial increase from ₹995 lakhs in the previous year. This information was disclosed in the company's filing to stock exchanges following its board meeting held on May 19, 2025.

The company's board approved the audited financial results for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2025, during the meeting which lasted from 12:00 noon to 1:10 PM. The consolidated revenue from operations stood at ₹73,289 lakhs for FY 2024-25, compared to ₹70,409 lakhs in the previous fiscal year.

In a significant business move, the board also approved an investment of up to ₹7.71 crore in VIR Mobility Private Limited, an electric mobility company. The investment will be made by subscribing to equity shares or convertible equity-linked instruments (compulsory convertible preference shares) of the company.

VIR Mobility, incorporated in April 2024, is described as "an electric mobility brand driven by its mission to make commuting simpler worldwide through innovation." The company currently offers three versions of e-bikes priced between ₹35,000 and ₹55,000 per unit.
