Highway Infrastructure Wins Rs 1.96 Crore E-Bus Charging Contract

Highway Infrastructure Limited has entered into a contract agreement with Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited (AICTSL) for the execution of e-bus charging infrastructure worth Rs 1.96 crore.

The contract, signed on October 15, 2025, and confirmed by the competent authority on October 28, 2025, involves EPC services including supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of external electrification infrastructure for e-bus charging at Nayta Mundla under the PM E-Bus Seva initiative.

According to the company's regulatory filing with stock exchanges, the project has a completion timeline of four months from the contract signing date. Highway Infrastructure Limited will be required to provide performance security of 3% of the service contract value in the form of a Term Deposit Receipt, along with an additional performance bank guarantee of 13% of the contract value.

The contract award is part of the government's PM E-Bus Seva scheme aimed at promoting electric mobility in urban transport systems. The company confirmed that this is a domestic contract with no involvement of promoter or promoter group companies in the awarding entity, and it does not fall within related party transactions.

Highway Infrastructure Limited is an integrated infrastructure development and management company operating across three core business segments: tollway collection, EPC infrastructure projects, and real estate development. The company's tollway collection business spans operations across 11 states and one Union Territory in India.

The company distinguishes itself as one of the few toll operators implementing Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, employing advanced Electronic Toll Collection systems that integrate RFID tags and digital payment platforms to enable contactless, efficient toll transactions.

In the EPC infrastructure segment, Highway Infrastructure undertakes development projects for roadways, bridges, and highways, serving government departments and private clients. The company also executes civil infrastructure construction for residential buildings, commercial complexes, and hospitality structures. As of August 31, 2024, HIL has completed 63 EPC infrastructure projects with 20 projects currently under execution.

Originally established as a partnership firm in 1995 under the name 'M/s. Highway Enterprises,' the company was incorporated as Highway Infrastructure Private Limited on February 10, 2006. It subsequently converted to a public company on May 4, 2018. The company successfully completed its initial public offering in August 2025, listing on both BSE and NSE exchanges.
