Hero MotoCorp Records 23 Percent Volume Increase in First Quarter Dispatches

Hero MotoCorp reported a total dispatch volume of 1,677,313 units for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, registering a 22.69 percent growth compared to the 1,367,070 units dispatched during the corresponding period last year.

For the specific month of June 2026, the company’s total monthly wholesale dispatches settled at 541,159 units, down 2.31 percent from the 553,963 units recorded in June 2025. Within the domestic segment, monthly dispatches dropped 4.24 percent to 502,890 units from 525,136 units previously. Despite a minor factory-gate drop, actual localized retail activity remained steady, with digital VAHAN database entries tracking 4.66 lakh registrations, indicating an 18 percent rise against the prior year's retail window. Total domestic quarterly registrations reached 15.3 lakh units, reflecting a 9 percent increase over the baseline quarter.

The monthly product division showed diverging trends between the two wheel classifications. Monthly motorcycle dispatches dropped 6.62 percent to 478,701 units from 512,658 units in June 2025. Conversely, the scooter business recorded a double-digit increase of 51.21 percent, rising to 62,458 units compared to 41,305 units in the corresponding prior month. This performance was backed by ongoing demand for the newly introduced Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 and the strategic unveiling of its initial flex-fuel variants.

The firm's electric mobility business arm, VIDA, maintained its localized retail path with 21,812 VAHAN registrations in June 2026, registering a 185 percent year-on-year expansion and a sequential month-on-month rise of 8 percent. On the international front, the global business division marked a 32.75 percent increase in monthly export shipments, jumping to 38,269 units from 28,827 units previously. Cumulative quarterly exports also expanded to 105,206 units against 64,413 units managed in the same period last fiscal year.
