Hero MotoCorp Introduces New Disc Brake Variant for Passion+ Motorcycle
The 100cc motorcycle introduces front disc braking and upgraded digital connectivity features at an ex-showroom price of Rs 84,128.
Hero MotoCorp has expanded its entry-level commuter options by launching a new front disc brake variant for its Passion+ motorcycle model. The new variant, named as the Passion+ Disc, enters the market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 84,128 in Delhi.
The primary upgrade for this specific variant is the addition of a front disc brake assembly, which provides sharper braking control and a safer response compared to drum brakes. Beyond the mechanical addition, the variant updates the instrumentation to a fully digital console equipped with a real-time mileage indicator, low fuel warnings, service reminders, and Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts. It also features an LED projector headlamp, a side-stand engine cut-off sensor, an integrated USB charging port, and a utility storage case.
The motorcycle retains the mechanical setup of the standard Passion+ platform, powered by a 100cc engine that produces 5.9kW of power at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Operating in tandem with the company's i3S idle stop-start system, Hero say that the platform maintains a rated fuel efficiency of 71 kmpl.
Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer of the India Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, stated that adding the front disc option is intended to strengthen the existing Passion+ brand appeal by introducing modern utility and safety features for discerning consumers. The new variant is being offered in four dual-tone color choices: Heavy Grey, Nexus Blue, Dark Industrial Grey, and Pearl Red.
