Hero MotoCorp, has officially entered the Italian market, marking its expansion into its 49th international territory. The company, which has held the position of global leader in two-wheeler manufacturing for 24 consecutive years, announced the move on October 13th, 2025, through a distribution partnership with Pelpi International, one of Italy's largest two-wheeler distributors.
The entry represents a strategic move into what Hero MotoCorp describes as the heartland of two-wheeler culture. The company will initially establish its presence through 36 dealerships across key Italian cities, with plans to gradually expand to 54 locations. Pelpi International, led by Managing Director Cesare Gali, will manage sales, service, and parts distribution through its existing network.
Hero MotoCorp is launching three models in Italy, each positioned for different market segments. The Hunk 440, priced from €3,990 including VAT, falls into the L3e-A2 performance category designed for urban commuting and highway driving. It features a 27 BHP engine producing 36.0 Nm of torque, dual-channel ABS, USD cartridge forks, and a full-digital TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation. The motorcycle will be available in Twilight Blue and Phantom Black.
The Xpulse 200 4V and Xpulse 200 4V Pro form the company's adventure-focused line. The standard Xpulse 200 4V is priced at €2,990, while the Pro variant costs €3,190. Both models feature Euro 5+ compliant engines, with the Pro version equipped with a 4-valve head producing 18.9 BHP and offering three ABS modes for different terrain conditions. These motorcycles include digital instrumentation, Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation, and long-travel suspension systems designed for European trail conditions.
All three models comply with Euro 5+ emissions standards. To support the Italian launch, Hero MotoCorp is offering a special promotional warranty package extending coverage to five years—a standard three-year warranty plus an additional two-year extension under specified terms and conditions.
The expansion comes as Hero MotoCorp continues its international growth strategy. The company operates eight manufacturing facilities globally, including six in India and one each in Colombia and Bangladesh, alongside research and development centers in India and Germany. Hero MotoCorp serves a global customer base exceeding 125 million across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President at Hero MotoCorp, stated that the Italian entry represents a defining milestone in the company's global expansion. He emphasized the focus on delivering next-generation smart mobility solutions and highlighted the company's Dakar Rally success through Hero MotoSports as evidence of engineering capabilities.
