Henkel has appointed Pradhyumna Ingle as Country President for India, the company announced on Wednesday, as it looks to strengthen its position in one of its fastest-growing markets.

Based in Navi Mumbai, Ingle will be responsible for driving Henkel's growth strategy, expanding its market presence and advancing innovation across the company's businesses in the country. He will continue to hold his global roles as Global Head of Infrastructure Protection & Repair and IMEA Head of Manufacturing & Maintenance within Henkel Adhesive Technologies.

The appointment comes as India continues to draw attention as a major growth market, driven by large-scale infrastructure investment, accelerating industrialization and an expanding consumer base, according to the company.

Ingle brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across India, the Asia Pacific, North America, and the Middle East and Africa. Henkel said he has a track record of accelerating growth, building high-performance organizations, leading acquisitions and integration efforts, and developing digital business models.

He succeeds S. Sunil Kumar, who led Henkel India for the past five years. Sunil Kumar will relocate to Dubai to take on an expanded role overseeing strategic projects across the IMEA region, in addition to his current position as Director of Packaging for IMEA.

Ashraf Elafifi, Henkel's IMEA President, said India remains a key growth engine for the company globally, citing Ingle's combination of global perspective, market understanding and leadership experience as factors in the appointment.

Ingle said India is undergoing a significant economic and consumer transformation, pointing to rising investment in manufacturing, infrastructure, mobility, electronics, energy and digital technology. He said Henkel intends to build on its brands, technologies and customer relationships across its Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands divisions to support that growth, and that he looks forward to working with teams across India to strengthen the company's market position and expand local innovation capabilities.

Ingle holds a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from Government Engineering College, Ujjain, and an MBA from the Institute of Management Studies, Indore.

Henkel, founded in 1876 and headquartered in Germany, holds leading global market positions in adhesives, sealants and coatings under its Adhesive Technologies unit, and in laundry, home care and hair care under its Consumer Brands division. Its best-known brands include Loctite, Persil and Schwarzkopf. The company reported sales of about 20.5 billion euros in fiscal 2025 and employs roughly 47,000 people worldwide.

In India, Henkel operates through two legal entities — Henkel Adhesive Technologies India Private Limited and Henkel Anand India Private Limited, a joint venture with the Anand Group. The company's adhesive technologies business, headquartered in Navi Mumbai, includes five manufacturing sites, two innovation centers and several application centers, while its hair care business operates five Schwarzkopf Professional academies across the country. Henkel employs more than 1,700 people in India.
