HARMAN Unveils Software-Defined Vehicle Tools and In-Cabin Technologies

HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, announced a series of automotive technology products on January 13, 2026, spanning software development tools, safety systems, audio personalization, and visual display technologies for vehicle manufacturers.

The company introduced Ready CQuence Loop and Ready CQuence Run as part of its software-defined vehicle execution stack. Ready CQuence Loop provides cloud-based development and testing capabilities for virtual and physical validation, supporting Android, Linux, and embedded software across cockpit and infotainment systems.

Ready CQuence Run features a Type-1 automotive hypervisor designed to isolate mixed-criticality workloads as manufacturers consolidate computing systems, with contracts covering over 20 million electronic control units.

HARMAN's over-the-air update technology and Smart Delta system are deployed in 80 million vehicles. The Ready Link Marketplace offers 190 in-vehicle applications and services, with new features including a Welcome Wizard, Smart App Recommender, and Closed Beta testing capability.

In safety technologies, HARMAN released updates to Ready Care and Ready Aware products. Ready Care adds single-heartbeat detection for vital-sign measurement and enhanced occupant-position monitoring for airbag deployment.

Ready Aware delivers road hazard alerts through vehicle-to-network architecture using existing 4G/5G connectivity, with a machine learning-based system designed to reduce false alerts. The Ready Connect telematics platform supports these safety applications across short-range, long-range, and satellite communication.

The company's audio personalization offerings include Ready StreamShare, which creates wireless connections between mobile devices and headphones for individual and shared listening experiences. HALOsonic Electronic Sound Synthesis provides customizable acoustic signatures for electric and gas vehicles, featuring wave terrain synthesis instruments and driver-adjustable sound controls.

HARMAN Branded Audio Experience Packages incorporate AI-driven features including Genre Optimizer, which adjusts audio and lighting based on music style, and Smart Bass Impact for tactile bass customization.

HARMAN's visual display portfolio includes Ready Display NQ1, using Samsung Neo QLED technology and certified for HDR10+ Automotive standards. The displays are in production vehicles including the Tata Motors Harrier.ev. Ready Vision QVUE transforms windshields into pillar-to-pillar displays with Neo QLED technology, featuring gaze detection and object-obstruction alerts. Ready Vision AR HUD, already in series production in Europe, provides augmented reality with brightness levels up to 15,000 nits and includes AI-powered occlusion handling.

HARMAN operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics with approximately 26,000 employees. The company's automotive technologies are deployed in over 50 million vehicles globally. Additional product information is available at car.harman.com.
