Tata Motors has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the recent GST reduction to its customers. The revised prices, effective September 22, 2025, will make Tata's cars and SUVs significantly more affordable.

According to the company, price cuts will range from ₹65,000 to ₹1.55 lakh, depending on the model. The biggest reduction will be on the Nexon, with prices dropping by up to ₹1.55 lakh. Other popular models like the Harrier and Safari will see reductions of up to ₹1.40 lakh and ₹1.45 lakh respectively. Entry-level models such as the Tiago and Tigor will also receive benefits of up to ₹75,000 and ₹80,000, while the premium hatchback Altroz will see prices fall by up to ₹1.10 lakh. The Curvv will also be cheaper by up to ₹65,000, and the Punch by up to ₹85,000.

The move follows the government's recent decision to slash GST rates on cars and SUVs, a measure aimed at boosting demand in the auto sector and making vehicles more accessible to a wider customer base. Petrol and diesel cars previously taxed at 28% will now attract only 18% GST, provided they fall within the 1,200cc/4,000mm (petrol) and 1,500cc/4,000mm (diesel) limits, Finance Minister and GST Council Chairperson Nirmala Sitharaman announced after the 56th GST Council meeting.

Tata Motors confirmed that customers booking or purchasing vehicles from September 22 onwards will automatically receive the benefit of these reduced prices. This announcement could provide a strong boost to Tata Motors' sales, particularly ahead of the festive season.
