GoMechanic Launches Two-Wheeler Service Division with ₹100 Crore Investment Plan
Indian automotive service provider GoMechanic expands operations into two-wheeler maintenance across major cities, aiming to standardize services through technology-driven solutions and trained technicians.
GoMechanic, India's prominent automotive service provider, today announced a significant expansion into the two-wheeler servicing market with a planned investment of ₹100 crore over the next two years. The move comes shortly after the company's acquisition by Servizzy and targets India's vast two-wheeler segment, which constitutes over 75% of the country's total vehicle sales.
The company has already launched its "2Wheels" service in key metropolitan areas including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Pune, with plans to expand to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad in the coming months. The initiative aims to address the fragmented nature of India's two-wheeler servicing industry, where unorganized local garages currently dominate the market.
"Two-wheelers are the backbone of Indian mobility, yet servicing remains unorganized. With 2Wheels by GoMechanic, we bring structure, efficiency, and trust to the market. Our goal is to make bike servicing as seamless as booking a cab—affordable, reliable, and just a few clicks away. This is a game-changer for millions of riders, and we are thrilled to lead this transformation," said Himanshu Arora, CEO and Co-Founder of GoMechanic.
The company's service portfolio includes comprehensive maintenance options ranging from routine servicing to complex engine repairs. GoMechanic emphasizes its commitment to quality through the use of genuine spare parts and certified technicians, addressing a crucial gap in the market where counterfeit parts and varying service standards are common concerns.
Industry analysts note that this expansion could significantly impact India's two-wheeler servicing landscape. While premium motorcycle owners have access to authorized service centers, the majority of everyday commuters rely on local mechanics, often facing inconsistent service quality and pricing.
"At GoMechanic, we have always been at the forefront of automotive service innovation. With “2Wheels” expanding into the two-wheeler market is a natural step in our mission to provide standardized, high-quality, and affordable servicing to every Indian rider. With our ₹100 crore investment in two years, we are setting new benchmarks, ensuring that two-wheeler owners receive the same reliability and transparency that car owners have come to expect from us," stated Muskan Kakkar, COO & Co-Founder of GoMechanic.
The company plans to establish operations in over 100 cities and aims to leverage its existing technological infrastructure to streamline service delivery. GoMechanic's platform will offer standardized pricing, digital booking systems, and real-time service tracking, features largely absent in the current market.
