Gabriel India Partners with TracTive for Advanced Suspension Technology
The agreement grants Gabriel India exclusive rights to manufacture, sell, and distribute TracTive's proprietary suspension adjustment technologies in the Indian market.
In a move to strengthen its automotive suspension capabilities, Gabriel India Ltd entered into a Technical Assistance Agreement with Netherlands-based TRACTIVE SUSPENSION BV (TracTive) on February 21, 2025.
The agreement grants Gabriel India exclusive rights to manufacture, sell, and distribute TracTive's proprietary suspension adjustment technologies in the Indian market. This collaboration aims to enhance GIL's automotive suspension products through application engineering and localized manufacturing, Gabriel said in a disclosure to the stock exchanges.
Under the terms of the agreement, TracTive will provide technical expertise, knowhow transfer, and comprehensive training programs to Gabriel India. The partnership involves a compensation structure comprising lumpsum fees and royalty payments from GIL to TracTive.
Gabriel India, which reported an annual turnover of INR 34,220 million in FY 2023-24, is set to benefit from TracTive's technical prowess. TracTive, with an annual turnover of 8.0 million euros in FY 2023-24, brings its advanced suspension adjustment technology to the partnership.
The company confirmed that the agreement is not a related party transaction, and none of the promoter or group companies have any interest in the entities involved in the transaction.
Founded in 1961, Gabriel India is one of India's leading automotive component manufacturers, specializing in ride control products. The company produces shock absorbers, struts, and front forks for automobiles, commercial vehicles, and two-wheelers. Part of the Anand Group, Gabriel has manufacturing facilities across India including Hosur, Nashik, Parwanoo, and Pune. The company serves major automotive manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and Hero MotoCorp.
TracTive, based in the Netherlands, is a specialized suspension technology company known for its innovative electronically adjustable suspension systems. Founded in 2010, the company has developed patented technologies for semi-active and active suspension solutions. Their product range includes electronic shock absorbers, height-adjustable suspension systems, and advanced damping control units. TracTive provides solutions for high-performance vehicles, motorcycles, and specialized automotive applications.
