Former PTI Associate Editor Rajkumar Leishemba joins Renault India
The business journalist has moved to the automaker’s communications department.
Rajkumar Leishemba, formerly Associate Editor at the Press Trust of India (PTI), has joined Renault India’s communications department.
Based in New Delhi, Leishemba was part of PTI’s economic bureau and reported on the automobile industry, corporate developments and the wider economy. He has covered the strategies of leading carmakers, new product programmes, technology partnerships, regulatory changes and the transition to new emission and powertrain technologies.
An alumnus of the University of Madras, Leishemba now moves from business journalism to corporate communications.
He joins Renault as the carmaker expands its operations and product portfolio in India. Under its ‘futuREady’ strategy, Renault plans to have seven models in the country by 2030.
The next phase of Renault’s India operations is being led by the return of the Duster, which has been developed and is being manufactured at the company’s Chennai plant.
