Former JLR India MD Rohit Suri Joins ReadyAssist as Senior Advisor
Suri will help the mobility-tech startup scale operations and enhance service quality for traditional and electric vehicles.
Rohit Suri, former President and Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India, has joined ReadyAssist as a Senior Advisor, the Bengaluru-based company announced today.
Suri spent over 14 years at JLR India, where he led the expansion of the British luxury carmaker's presence in the Indian market. During his tenure, Jaguar and Land Rover established their brand identity and expanded operations in the country through customer experience initiatives, local manufacturing, and growth strategies.
ReadyAssist, founded in 2015, operates as a mobility-tech startup providing 24/7 roadside assistance, emergency support, and on-site repairs for internal combustion engine vehicles, electric vehicles, and CNG-powered vehicles. The company uses technology and artificial intelligence to manage operations and employs machine learning and data-driven systems to connect customers with service professionals.
The appointment comes as ReadyAssist seeks to enhance its capabilities in servicing next-generation vehicles and establish partnerships with automotive manufacturers. Suri's experience is expected to support the company's plans to expand its electric vehicle and CNG servicing portfolio and improve customer engagement practices.
"Mobility is evolving rapidly, and technology-led, AI-assisted service ecosystems that support customers and ensure consistently high-quality experiences are both the need of the hour and the way forward," Suri said. "ReadyAssist has been a pioneer in this area and has been proactive in addressing this need by building reliable, scalable, tech-enabled AI-assisted service models that enable superior and faster quality service to the customer."
ReadyAssist Founder and CEO Vimal Singh said Suri's experience in the premium automobile segment and understanding of the Indian automotive landscape would provide valuable perspective for the company's mission. Singh noted that Suri's focus on customer experiences aligns with the company's values as it expands operations and redefines vehicle servicing across India.
The company operates a service network spanning over 19,000 pin codes with more than 11,000 service providers, including 6,000+ tow trucks and 3,000+ EV-trained mechanics. ReadyAssist positions itself as one of the few startups working to bridge the infrastructure gap in India's automotive service sector by combining technology with operational capabilities.
