Flix's collective travel initiative averts over 1 million tonnes of CO2 in 2023

On Earth Day, Flix, a global leader in travel-tech, releases its second voluntary ESG report, detailing its emissions reduction targets and the environmental impact of collective travel. With over 81 million passengers in 2023, Flix has become a cornerstone of sustainable and affordable travel, driven by an ESG strategy deeply embedded in its operations.

Validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, Flix aims to achieve carbon neutrality in Europe by 2040 and globally by 2050, with near-term targets set to reduce emissions by 54.6% (Scope 1 & 2) and 40.9% (Scope 3) by 2032.

A key highlight of the report is Flix's analysis showcasing how collective travel choices have avoided over 1 million tonnes of CO2 emissions in 2023 alone. By providing connections to over 5,600 destinations, including underserved areas, Flix has made sustainable travel accessible to all.

Furthermore, Flix's commitment to sustainability extends beyond emissions reduction. Its second ESG report highlights achievements in gender diversity, safety management, and fleet efficiency, reinforcing its dedication to holistic sustainability practices.
