FlixBus, a leading travel-tech company known for its expansive bus network across 42 countries, has officially commenced operations in India. This marks the company's entry into the 43rd country, addressing the second-largest bus market globally. FlixBus aims to redefine intercity passenger transportation in India by offering convenient, competitive, and safe travel options.

The inauguration of FlixBus services introduces a comprehensive network covering Delhi, Himachal, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, encompassing a total of 46 destination cities. Responding to local demands, the company is rolling out services like gender seating, a 24x7 incident response team, traffic control ward, and 2-point seat belts for all passengers.

Tickets for FlixBus India are available with the initial routes kicking off on February 6. The launch price, starting at Rs 99, applies to routes connecting major cities such as Ayodhya, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Manali, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Ajmer, Katra, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Jodhpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Amritsar.

FlixBus, in collaboration with local bus operators, utilises its proprietary tech platform to optimise business operations. The company ensures efficiency in network planning, revenue management, and yield optimisation, emphasising quality, safety, and consistency for both passengers and operators. The buses operated by FlixBus in India adhere to stringent emission norms, showcasing a commitment to environmental sustainability.
