Exicom Launches Harmony Direct 2.0, Aims to Strengthen EV Charging Infrastructure

Exicom, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and critical power solutions, has announced the launch of Harmony Direct 2.0, a new DC fast charger. The product was introduced at a company event and is positioned as a step toward enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of EV charging infrastructure in India.

Harmony Direct 2.0 is powered by Harmony OS, India’s first indigenously developed operating system for EV chargers. The system is designed to manage charger-to-vehicle-to-cloud communication, with features that include sensor-based diagnostics and AI-enabled remote charger management. These capabilities aim to minimize downtime and improve reliability for charging station operators.

Anant Nahata, Managing Director and CEO of Exicom, stated that the new charger reflects the company’s focus on operational robustness and user experience. He emphasized that improving trust in charging infrastructure is critical to accelerating EV adoption in the country.

Anshuman Divyanshu, CEO of Exicom’s EVSE business, noted that Harmony Direct 2.0 is designed to meet the operational needs of both charge point and fleet operators. According to him, the charger delivers efficiency and intelligence that supports network expansion.

Key features of the charger include dynamic load sharing between plugs, real-time energy optimization to reduce reactive power losses, and Harmony Net—a technology enabling intelligent load management across multiple chargers. The unit also supports multi-stack charging logic and features a user interface modeled on smartphone interactions, alongside ergonomic cable and connector design for ease of use.

With this launch, Exicom aims to address major barriers to EV adoption by offering infrastructure that meets current demands and adapts to future requirements.
