Commercial EV manufacturer EKA Mobility has announced that it has appointed Prashant Kumar Banerjee as Group Head of Government and Corporate Affairs.
Banerjee's Mandate: Government Relations, Policy and CSR at EKA Mobility
In his new role, Banerjee will oversee government relations, corporate affairs, public policy, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives across EKA Mobility and its group entities, the company said. He will focus on stakeholder engagement, regulatory advocacy, and strategic partnerships with government agencies and industry bodies.
Prashant Kumar Banerjee's 36-Year Automotive Career: From SIAM to Tata Motors and JLR
Banerjee brings more than 36 years of automotive industry experience, having previously served as Executive Director at the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). His prior career includes leadership roles across product engineering, regulations, and policy at Tata Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, Daewoo Motors, Toyota, and IIT Bombay. Since 2003, he has represented India at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) WP.29 forums and chairs India's GRSG working group on vehicle construction regulations under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
