Eicher Pro X EV Completes Kashmir-To-Kanyakumari Run Under Full Load
Eicher says its Pro X EV covered 4,100km from Srinagar to Kanyakumari in six days using public charging infrastructure and fully loaded operating conditions.
Eicher Trucks and Buses has completed a Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari endurance run with its Pro X electric commercial vehicle, as part of a campaign aimed at demonstrating the real-world viability of electric CVs in India.
According to the company, the Eicher Pro X EV travelled 4,100km from Lal Chowk in Srinagar to Kanyakumari in six days under fully loaded conditions, becoming what it claims is the first and fastest electric commercial vehicle to complete the route in such conditions. The journey has been recognised with four entries in the India Book of Records.
The route covered a mix of terrains, including highways, hilly sections, ghats and coastal roads, with temperatures ranging from -2°C to 40°C. Eicher stated that the vehicle relied on public charging infrastructure accessed through the MyEicher App during the expedition.
The campaign, titled #XpertHaiTohPossibleHai, also involved content creator Raman Nayak of Behind The Wheels, who documented the trip through a multi-episode video series distributed across YouTube and social media platforms. Regional creators along the route were also engaged to create local-language content around the journey.
Abhishek Chaudhary, SVP, SCV – Sales & Marketing, VECV, said, “The K2K milestone is a strong validation of the Eicher Pro X EV’s engineering capability under real-world operating conditions.” He added that the initiative was intended to build confidence in electric mobility through demonstrable performance rather than conventional product messaging.
Bhagwan K. Bindiganavile, EVP – Strategic Planning, Brand & Communications, VECV, said the company aimed to move beyond conventional product communication by demonstrating the vehicle’s capability through a real-world long-distance journey.
Eicher said the campaign aligns with broader industry and government discussions around logistics efficiency and electrification, including the Gati Shakti initiative and India’s Net Zero 2070 target.
