Eicher Motors Posts 21% Jump in Q3 Net Profit
The share of profit from joint venture VECV came in at ₹183 crore for the quarter, up about 12%.
Eicher Motors Limited on Tuesday reported a 21% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,420 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2025, up from ₹1,171 crore in the same period last year, driven by robust volumes across its Royal Enfield motorcycle business and steady contributions from its joint venture VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV).
Consolidated revenue from operations jumped 23% to ₹6,114 crore in Q3 FY26, compared to ₹4,973 crore in Q3 FY25. Total income, including other income, came in at ₹6,451 crore, up about 23% from ₹5,262 crore a year ago.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, consolidated net profit grew 18.5% to ₹3,995 crore from ₹3,372 crore in the corresponding period last year. Nine-month revenue from operations rose 27% to ₹17,327 crore versus ₹13,629 crore previously.
Margins Under Mild Pressure
Profit before exceptional items and tax, and after share of joint venture profit, stood at ₹1,848 crore for the quarter, up about 27% from ₹1,461 crore in Q3 FY25. Sequentially, profit rose 3.9% from ₹1,779 crore in Q2 FY26, despite higher raw material costs and inventory normalization.
The company took a one-time exceptional charge of ₹55.45 crore related to provisions arising from India's newly notified New Labour Codes, which consolidate 29 existing labour laws. Eicher said the charge is non-recurring in nature.
After accounting for the exceptional item, profit before tax for Q3 FY26 stood at ₹1,793 crore, versus ₹1,461 crore in Q3 FY25, a 23% year-on-year gain.
The share of profit from joint venture VECV came in at ₹183 crore for the quarter, up about 12% from ₹164 crore in Q3 FY25. Basic EPS for Q3 FY26 stood at ₹51.79 per share, up from ₹42.70 a year ago, a gain of about 21%. For the nine-month period, basic EPS rose to ₹145.68 from ₹123.07, up nearly 18%.
