Ducati has introduced the Panigale V4 Tricolore in India, a limited-edition motorcycle restricted to 1,000 numbered units worldwide. Only a small number of units will be allocated to the Indian market. The model is priced at ₹77 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Panigale V4 Tricolore has been developed as a collector-focused version of the Panigale V4 and marks the first time a Tricolore model has been equipped with performance-oriented components aimed at track use. The motorcycle draws inspiration from the Ducati 750 F1 unveiled in 1984 and continues the Tricolore lineage that began with the 851 Desmoquattro in 1988 .
The motorcycle features a new asymmetric Tricolore livery designed by Aldo Drudi in collaboration with Centro Stile Ducati. The design combines the Italian flag colours with elements referencing Ducati’s racing history, including a chequered flag motif on the lower fairing. Number plates bearing the number ‘1’ appear on the front and side fairings, similar to Ducati’s race-focused models.
Based on the latest Panigale V4 platform, the Tricolore incorporates updates introduced with the seventh-generation Ducati Superbikes. These include a revised chassis, updated aerodynamics, and new electronic systems such as the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and Race eCBS.
For the first time on a Tricolore, Ducati has added equipment intended to improve track performance. The Panigale V4 Tricolore is fitted with five-spoke carbon fibre wheels, reducing weight by approximately 0.9 kg compared with the forged wheels used on the Panigale V4 S. This reduces the moment of inertia by 12% at the front and 19% at the rear.
The motorcycle is also the first production model globally to feature Ducati’s Front Brake Pro system. This includes twin Brembo T-Drive finned discs measuring 338.5 mm in diameter and 6.2 mm in thickness, paired with Brembo Hypure calipers. The braking system was tested during the 2024 Race of Champions and is derived from equipment used in the Superbike World Championship. A Brembo MCS 19.21 master cylinder with remote lever adjustment is also included.
Additional standard equipment includes a dry clutch, billet aluminium adjustable footpegs, GPS module, Alcantara seat, racing windscreen, and a dedicated dashboard animation at ignition. Ducati also supplies track-use components such as a billet aluminium racing fuel cap, carbon fibre brake cooling ducts, open carbon clutch cover, and a licence plate removal kit, although these are not homologated for road use.
Each motorcycle features a billet aluminium steering plate engraved with the model name and production number, along with a matching numbered ignition key. Owners also receive a certificate of authenticity, a dedicated motorcycle cover, and a customised storage box. Ducati is offering owners the option to purchase a limited-edition jacket designed to match the motorcycle’s livery.
Powering the Panigale V4 Tricolore is Ducati’s 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, producing 216 hp at 13,500 rpm and 90 ft-lb of torque at 11,250 rpm. The motorcycle uses Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) 3.0 with Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 control, including an NPX-30 pressurised front fork and TTX36 rear shock. Wet weight without fuel is rated at 188 kg, around 3 kg lighter than the standard Panigale V4 S.
Ducati India Managing Director Bipul Chandra said the Panigale V4 Tricolore reflects the brand’s focus on limited-edition models aimed at customers seeking exclusivity and performance.
Bookings for the Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore are now open, with deliveries expected to be limited due to the restricted allocation for India .
