dSPACE Showcases Four New Validation Technologies At India User Conference 2026
The technologies cover AI code generation, ECU cybersecurity, radar testing and hardware-in-the-loop validation, targeting software-defined vehicle and embedded system development.
dSPACE showcased four new validation technologies for the Indian market at its User Conference India 2026, held in Bengaluru on September 25. The technologies address testing requirements across artificial intelligence (AI), electronic control unit (ECU) cybersecurity, radar systems and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation.
More than 500 delegates from automotive and non-automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers and engineering companies attended the conference, which was held under the theme 'Software-defined. Test-verified.' Discussions focused on simulation, virtual validation and the need to verify software before physical hardware is available.
The four technologies introduced were Neural Net Coder, dissecto HydraProbe, DARTS ARROW and SCALEXIO Essential. They are designed to support validation across safety-critical embedded systems, ECU security, radar testing and component-level HIL applications.
dSPACE Introduces Four Validation Technologies For India
The four technologies address different testing requirements across automotive and other engineering applications.
- Neural Net Coder: Converts trained neural networks into deterministic, standards-compliant C code for safety-critical and resource-constrained embedded systems. It includes post-training optimisation, built-in verification and early estimates of runtime and memory requirements.
- dissecto HydraProbe: An ECU security testing tool that enables controlled penetration testing through existing HIL systems. It is designed to accelerate cybersecurity testing and provide evidence throughout the validation lifecycle.
- DARTS ARROW: A compact radar target simulator for functional, end-of-line and periodic inspection testing. It operates across the 76–81 GHz frequency range, with a simulation range of up to 500 metres and simulated speeds of up to ±700 km/h.
- SCALEXIO Essential: An entry-level, component-level HIL platform for validating edge ECUs. It supports automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN and analogue, digital and resistance I/O.
dSPACE Focuses On Software-Defined Vehicle Validation
The conference also highlighted testing requirements associated with software-defined vehicles (SDVs), including continuous regression testing and reproducible, scalable end-to-end validation.
Customer presentations covered the use of virtual environments to manage multiple vehicle variants and accelerate testing. Speakers from emerging aerospace companies also discussed using simulation to test flight-control laws before conducting flight tests.
Partner demonstrations at the event included workflows for generating DO-178C certification artefacts using TargetLink and partner products, V2X simulation for autonomous and assisted-driving functions, cybersecurity penetration testing combined with vehicle-effect simulation, and virtual ECUs incorporating production software.
The demonstrations were intended to show how different technologies could be integrated into deployable workflows for customer programmes.
dSPACE Sees Demand For Locally Developed Test Solutions
dSPACE identified locally designed and engineered validation solutions as a key requirement for India's automotive and engineering industries.
According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), domestic vehicle sales in India reached 28.3 million units in FY26, up 10.4% year on year, while exports increased 24% to 6.6 million units. Meanwhile, Nasscom estimates India's engineering research and development services revenue at $63 billion in FY26 and projects it to exceed $100 billion by 2030.
The company said Indian OEMs need to simulate different vehicle types, operating conditions and testing scenarios, creating demand for solutions developed around domestic engineering programmes and supported by local partners.
Neural Net Coder Addresses AI Validation In Embedded Systems
dSPACE also outlined its approach to validating AI applications in mobility systems. Neural Net Coder converts trained neural networks into embedded C code, while the company's broader simulation environment supports software-in-the-loop (SIL) and HIL testing.
The approach is intended to help engineering teams assess how AI models behave when deployed on an ECU within a larger physical system, before the software is integrated into a vehicle.
Andreas Gau, CEO of dSPACE India Solutions Pvt. Ltd., said the conference highlighted the growing requirement among Indian engineering teams to validate software before physical vehicles are available for testing. He also pointed to demand for integrated workflows and test solutions developed for Indian programmes.
